A Big Voice decreed, "It is time to write The Book."
Aureole heard it, not in her ear, but in her head, this amazing voice suddenly seemed to speak from out of the vast Nowhere. Although she was surprised by the content of his telepathic message, Aureole knew that The Mentor possessed powers that were still beyond her comprehension.
Aureole swallowed and softly said, "Avatar, you are The Mentor. I only know of other wondrous worlds because you have shown me."
After a deliberate pause, Avatar admonished, "You are a hell of a creative writer who could capture the literary attention of a jumping bean on a hot stone-paved Mexican street in the middle of summer. Write what you have learned, of places you have been, and things you have seen. Write the Truth."
"Avatar, I have been nowhere except in my mind," Aureole replied uncertainly.
"You, dear Aureole, have been everywhere. Take them there. Show them what you have learned, that the spirit reflects the essence and the essence is in the Being."
"Where shall I begin, Avatar?"
The Mentor, who professes to be a simple man, finalized the assignment to his prot...g..., "At the beginning, Aureole—at the beginning. Where else?"
Aureole smiled and envisioned the twinkle in Avatar's eye as he issued the greatest challenge of all previous challenges. "Write the Truth." At the moment, she had not the vaguest notion of where to begin.
So, here we meet at The Beginning. Welcome to our Teachings, a Way of Truth that offers the serious seeker an end to the common view on life and the beginning of a more phenomenal living of it and in it.
We are the essences of Aureole and Avatar. We are lifetime friends. Avatar is The Mentor, and I am his Prot...g.... Aureole is a circle of light surrounding the head or body. Avatar is an embodiment or version of a continuing entity. When we find the perfect time, we shall think of a proper name to call your unique energy. It is right to honor each other when we sit in our teaching circles.
When The Mentor issued the challenge to write The Book, I struggled for a right place to begin until it came to me, like a fiery flash from out of the blue, that we are always beginning. Projects, careers, relationships, seasons, years, months, days, nights, hours, minutes, seconds, and even endings are considered beginnings in the sense that when one thing ends, it blends into a new beginning. And so it goes endlessly: this circle of time.
If the phenomenon of what we propose sounds appealing, and should you decide to join us for further sessions, we will conduct your lessons in an imaginary circle. The circle is a symbol for many known things. I see the empty circle as the opposite of all possibilities, of all time. When we gather in circle, we will not count time and we will not count possibilities. We will simply observe. We will observe innumerable possibilities, including, but not limited to, the opposites, the timeless, abstract thought and symbolism. We will observe natural life. We will observe death.
In the center of the circle is a point. The point is a very old symbol for the creative spark of divine consciousness that exists in all of us, linking us to the Source or Originator of all life. Native Americans believed in a Creator who created by thinking what "will be." We shall strive to guide your consciousness toward this center or point, so that ultimately, when The Destination is reached, you can know that you are a part of, you are connected to, and in effect, you are all things. That All is in each thing and each thing is in All. You are what has been, what is, and what will be. You are the Creator's thoughts manifested.
That you are here indicates you have experienced a yearning that nothing will satisfy and a calling toward something not yet disclosed. This elusive something that you cannot name is already within you. It is your True Self.
Within the pages of The Book is the fulfillment of our great promise. A promise that cannot be placed in a pretty basket wrapped in cellophane and tied with multi-colored curling ribbons. It is of the abstract, in that you cannot hold the promise up to a brilliant light and exclaim excitedly of its exquisite value, but further light radiates from all that we teach. The value of the promise is so dear that it cannot be purchased with the rarest of coins; it is freely given, although, it does not come without a price.
The ancients termed winter a "little death." In exchange for our great promise, the recipient necessarily experiences "a little death." Dying a little death initiates a big healing cycle. With the fruition of the big healing cycle, fears of the "big death"—the death of the physical body—are conquered. We cannot promise the final outcome of your healing cycle or what level of consciousness you will attain. We propose to show you possibilities and opposites of possibilities and tell you of the place where opposites do not exist. Your inner-experiences can become a source of highest consciousness, spiritual freedom, and an unending path to greater wisdom.
During each teaching circle, I will transmit voluminous amounts of information. If you become weary or overwhelmed just put The Book aside until later. Either pause at one of the convenient rest stops we've designated, or better yet, when your eyes are droopy. It is expected that portions of the information may not be initially understood. However, with each reading, further light is revealed. Also, we regret that the terminology and teachings cannot be more vividly translated for the beginning seeker. However, we extend our assurance that throughout The Journey, we will explain, explain, explain. You also have our pledge that your comfort and safety remain our first consideration. Finally, since we cannot offer you the hands-on individualized instruction that I received, we will diligently attempt to predict your questions and answer them at what we discern to be the most appropriate time.
Ideally, if we were physically in each other's presence, I could look into your eyes and better know what you are seeking, your fondest desires, your deepest wants and needs. The eyes are unspoken communicators of what is normally hidden to others. It is unavoidable that you are where you are and I am where I am. Because of the challenges this separation presents us, I will find unique ways to creatively communicate with you.
With each person that touches our life, we share energy. You are energy and I am energy. Can you begin to mentally visualize that we are actually sitting together in a circle, sharing thoughts, receiving and transmitting energy? Take a few quiet moments and notice any images that appear in your mind.
